Changing the Path to Your Data and Server in the PCLaw.cfg File

The PCLaw.cfg file contains the path to your data in the BOOKPATHDATA= line and the path to your server in the BOOKPATHSERVER= line.

Take the following steps to change the paths to your data and server in the PCLaw.cfg file:

  1. Open the PCLaw.cfg file file
  2. Click File and select Save As to open the Save As window.
  3. Enter PCLawBak.old in the File Name field.
  4. Click to select All Files from the Save as type drop-down list.
  5. Click Save to create a backup of your PCLaw.cfg file.
  6. Locate the BOOKPATHDATA=[current data path] line.
  7. Delete the current data path and enter your new data path after BOOKPATHDATA=.
    NOTE: Your new data path ends with the folder that contains both the DYNDATA and STATDATA folders.
  8. Locate the BOOKPATHSERVER=[current server path] line.
  9. Delete the current server path and enter you new server path after BOOKSPATHSERVER=.
  10. Click File and select Save As to open the Save As window.
  11. Enter PCLaw.cfg in the File Name field.
  12. Click to select All Files from the Save as type drop-down list.
  13. Click Save.
  14. Click Yes at the Confirm Overwrite prompt.
  15. Click X to exit.
