Changing the Path to Your Data and Server in the PCLaw.cfg File
The PCLaw.cfg file contains the path to your data in the BOOKPATHDATA= line and the path to your server in the BOOKPATHSERVER= line.
Take the following steps to change the paths to your data and server in the PCLaw.cfg file:
- Open the PCLaw.cfg file file
- Click File and select Save As to open the Save As window.
- Enter PCLawBak.old in the File Name field.
- Click to select All Files from the Save as type drop-down list.
- Click Save to create a backup of your PCLaw.cfg file.
- Locate the BOOKPATHDATA=[current data path] line.
- Delete the current data path and enter your new data path after BOOKPATHDATA=.
NOTE: Your new data path ends with the folder that contains both the DYNDATA and STATDATA folders. - Locate the BOOKPATHSERVER=[current server path] line.
- Delete the current server path and enter you new server path after BOOKSPATHSERVER=.
- Click File and select Save As to open the Save As window.
- Enter PCLaw.cfg in the File Name field.
- Click to select All Files from the Save as type drop-down list.
- Click Save.
- Click Yes at the Confirm Overwrite prompt.
- Click X to exit.
