PCLaw locked will retry
Problem Description:
The PCLawSEC.000 login file is corrupt or still performing an administrative function. The possible causes could be from a third party software, or a setting on the workstation's Operating System that interferes with PCLaw. The issue could also stem from the removal of the PCLawSEC files or a missing PCLawSEC security file.
Suggested Action:
- Restart the workstation and try to log into PCLaw with your own user ID.
- If you are still receiving the same error message then try to log into PCLaw with the ADMIN account.
NOTE: When the PCLaw database is locked and you log in with the ADMIN account. You are prompted The system is currently locked, would you like to unlock the system - Click Yes to unlock the system.
If you are unable to login with the ADMIN account, contact your firm's Network Administrator or PC/IT staff for help with unlocking and closing an open PCLaw file or deleting PCLawSEC files. If you remove the PCLawSEC files and you are still receiving the same error message, then contact Customer Support for further troubleshooting because you may need restore the data files, or take other action.
