B.C. Firms - Insurance Corporation of British Columbia Billing (ICBC)

The Insurance Corporation of British Columbia (ICBC) will be implementing a new billing system effective September 1, 2010. This new system requires that invoices be generated in either a LEDES 2000 or LEDES 1998B format.

Additionally, each narrative description of a billable task in a legal account must be allocated a task (L) code and activity (A) code, and each disbursement must be allocated an expense (E) code.

If you use the LEDES 2000 format, taxes will be automatically managed.
Use of the LEDES 2000 format requires you to download and save the new billing template in the PCLaw® software.
If you use the LEDES 1998B format, you will need to enter the taxes manually at the time of submission.

For additional information on the changes to ICBC billing, please contact ICBC.

If you require assistance with the instructions on the PCLaw support web site, please contact PCLaw Technical Support at 800-387-9785.
