PCLaw Client/Matter Changes are Updated To Practice Advantage
Changes made to the Contact/Matter Record information (Name, Address, Phone Number, etc) in the PCLaw database synchronize to the Practice Advantage Contact/Matter during the next synchronization.
NOTE: Synchronization does not move phone records, notes, todo's, email, documents, etc into the PCLaw database. If you want to copy these related records into the Practice Advantage database, you need to import your PCLaw database from the Import menu in the Practice Advantage software.
Check for PCLaw Changes - Manually
This is the recommended setting. Click File on the menu bar and select Synchronize and PCLaw to synchronize the databases.
Check for PCLaw Changes - At Login To Practice Advantage
The databases synchronize each time you log in to the Practice Advantage software.
Check for PCLaw Changes - Automatically every
Enter a time interval in the Automatically every field to have the databases synchronize.
Practice Advantage Client Changes Update The PCLaw Matter Billing Address
In the PCLaw software, the billing address for a matter is a separate entry from the client/contact address. In the Practice Advantage software, the billing address is the address listed for the primary contact assigned to the matter. If you select this option, editing the Practice Advantage contact address changes the destination address on the invoice in the PCLaw software.
Use PCLaw Auto Numbering
This option is mandatory if you want to create new Matters / Clients in the Practice Advantage database and transfer them to the PCLaw.
The PCLaw software has an Auto Numbering feature that automatically increments the Matter/Contact reference/ID number by one each time you create a new entry. If you select this option, each time you create a new Matter/Contact in the PCLaw software by synchronization, its reference/ID number increments by one.
