Inserting Label Fields in the Report Designer

LexisNexis® Customer Support does not offer telephonic support for creating or using custom reports.

Take the following steps to add labels to your custom report:

  1. Open the Report Designer from the Report Specifications window.
  2. Click Insert Label on the main toolbar.
  3. Click on the report layout to place the field and open the Text Label Properties window.
  4. Enter text in the Text field.
  5. Select Left, Center, or Right from the Alignment drop-down list.
  6. Click to check Wrap Text box to wrap text inside the field.
  7. Click Set Font to open the Select Font window.
  8. Select a font from the Font list.
  9. Select a style from the Font Style list.
  10. Select a font size from the Size list.
  11. Click to check the Strikeout box if you want to place a strike through the font.
  12. Click to check the Underline box if you want to underline the font.
  13. Select the font color from the Color drop-down list.
  14. Click OK to close the Select Font window.
  15. Click the Position tab to set positioning options.
  16. Enter a value into the X Position field.
  17. Enter a value into the Y Position field.
  18. Enter a value into the Height field.
  19. Enter a value into the Width field.
  20. Click OK to close the Text Label Properties window.
  21. Click and hold one of the red squares and drag to resize the field.
  22. Add any other fields you want and position them on the report.
  23. Click Save & Close on the main toolbar to close the Report Designer window.

NOTE:

The custom report you created remains in the Format tab of the Report Specifications window and is available for use in the future.
