Changing File Types and Associations

Take the following steps to change file types and associations in Windows Vista.

  1. Click Add Icon and select Control Panel.
  2. Click Programs.
  3. Click Make a File Type Always Open in a Specific Program.
  4. Select the file type you want to change and click Change Program.
