What's New in PCLaw Version 9


Before You Download

New Features

Banking

The Bank Reconciliation feature has a redesigned screen in the calculation area to better match your workflow.

On the Deposit Slip Feature, a new check box to Ignore Direct Deposit and Wire entries is added.

Billing

A new Quick Charge feature is accessible from the Data Entry menu.

A new Print button is added to the BillFlow Manager.

The feature Prompt Before Posting Bills is now available in System Settings.

Front Office

When working with Documents, Phone Calls, Emails, and Notes, you can now attach these items to an archived matter.

New Appointment, Notes, and Phone Calls allow you to select Send Notification to alert the user of a new message.

A new matter drop-down list is available from any matter nickname field.

G/L Accounting

You can now provide an accountant copy of your PCLaw data to send to your accountant.

When preparing your G/L, you can now run the statements in either Cash and Accrual or Modified Cash and Accrual.

A new search box is added to the G/L Account list feature enabling you to quickly find a g/l account by various criteria. Matters

PCLaw offers a new feature Matter List which enables you to tag and perform operations on a single matter or multiple matters.

Messaging

User message is a new feature that allows you to send sticky note messages to other users on the system.

Modules

The following modules are now included as standard features.

  • COST - Cost Recovery
  • EB - Electronic Billing
  • SOA - Past Due Notice
  • SAT - Satellite
  • EX - Express

Other

Tool bars can now be removed and repositioned.

Receipts

You can now receive payments by credit card directly into Lexis® Back Office.

Template Editor

The Template Editor has a new look for the toolbar to help you find what you need.

User Interface

In the upper right corner of any grid, you can click the magnifying glass icon to search for specific contents.
