Entering Law Society Numbers for Lawyers in Your Firm

Certain features of the program do not function in their entirety until you enter Law Society Numbers for each lawyer in your firm. You can enter the Law Society Number for each lawyer using the Lawyers and Rates feature.

Take the following steps to enter the Law Society Number for each lawyer in your firm:

  1. Click Options, select Lists, and Lawyers and Rates... to open the Lawyers and Rates window.
  2. Click to highlight the lawyer for which you want to enter a Law Society Number.
  3. Click Change... to open the Change Lawyer Information window.
  4. Click the Provincial tab.
  5. Click to check the Use Transaction Levy box.
  6. Enter the lawyer's number in the Law Society Number box.
  7. Click OK to return to the Lawyers and Rates window.
  8. Repeat steps two through seven for additional lawyers.
  9. Click OK to save your changes and close the Lawyers and Rates window.
