Downloading and Installing the PCLawTE Patch for BlackBerrys

Take the following steps to download and install the PCLawTE patch for BlackBerrys:

  1. Remove PCLawTE from your BlackBerry mobile device.
  2. Click to download PCLawTE_Patch.zip.
  3. Click Save and the save the file to your Windows Desktop.
  4. Right-click PCLawTE Patch.zip and select Extract Files To to open the WinZip Extract window.
  5. Enter C:\program files\common files\research in motion\shared\Loader Files in the Extract To field.
  6. Click Extract.
  7. Click Start on the Windows Taskbar to open the Start Menu.
  8. Select Run to open the Run window.
  9. Enter C:\program files\common files\research in motion\shared\Loader Files.
  10. Click OK.
  11. Right-click LNBBSync.dl_ and select Rename.
  12. Enter LNBBSync.dll.
  13. Right-click LNBBSync.dll and select Copy to copy the LNBBSync.dll to the Windows Clipboard.
  14. Click Start on the Windows Taskbar to open the Start Menu.
  15. Select Run to open the Run window.
  16. Enter C:\Program Files\LexisNexis\PclawTE.
  17. Click OK.
  18. Click Edit and select Paste to paste the file LNBBSync.dll to the PCLawTE folder.
  19. Synchronize PCLawTE with your BlackBerry.
