Setting User Access to Tabs in the Matter Manager

You can control access to individual tabs in the Matter Manager. The Matter Manger tab in the Advanced Security Settings window controls access to view, hide, or change settings on a user by user basis.

Take the following steps to set Advanced Security Settings for the Matter Manager:

  1. Click Options, select Administrator, and Security... to open the Security Setup window.
  2. Click to highlight the User you want to set security rights to.
  3. Click Advanced....
  4. Click the Matter Manager tab.
  5. Select one of the following options in the Lawyer Information drop-down list:
    • Full Access - able to view and make changes
    • View Only - able to view only
    • Hidden - unable to view
  6. Select one of the following options in the Address Information drop-down list:
    • Full Access - able to view and make changes
    • View Only - able to view only
    • Hidden - unable to view
  7. Select one of the following options in the Other Information drop-down list:
    • Full Access - able to view and make changes
    • View Only - able to view only
    • Hidden - unable to view
  8. Select one of the following options in the Bill Settings drop-down list:
    • Full Access - able to view and make changes
    • View Only - able to view only
    • Hidden - unable to view
  9. Select one of the following options in the Tax Settings drop-down list:
    • Full Access - able to view and make changes
    • View Only - able to view only
    • Hidden - unable to view
  10. Select one of the following options in the Settings Tab drop-down list:
    • Full Access - able to view and make changes
    • View Only - able to view only
    • Hidden - unable to view
  11. Select one of the following options in the Custom Tab drop-down list:
    • Full Access - able to view and make changes
    • View Only - able to view only
    • Hidden - unable to view
  12. Click to check mark Allow User to Add Custom Tabs to allow the user to add Custom tabs.
  13. Click to check mark Allow User to Remove Custom Tabs to allow the user to remove Custom tabs.
  14. Click OK to save your changes.
