Linked Dates Example

You can associate Appointments and To Dos with a series of linked dates. Linked dates are a series of events where each event depends on the prior event to occur before that event can take place. For example, you cannot complete a real estate purchase until you finish a lien search, prepare a draft mortgage, and prepare closing documents.

You can create a template containing the individual events, and assign each item within the template a name and a date calculated as a number of days before or after the template's base date. You can set the base date as the completion date or start date for the series of events.

The following table shows a series of events with the closing date as the base date.
