Microsoft Visual C++ Debug Library Debug Error!

Problem Description:

When you complete the initial UserID setup for ADP US or log in to Payroll with the UserID and password, the system displays a Microsoft Visual C++ Debug Library error and then terminates PCLaw.

Suggested Actions:

ADPUS Payroll requires PCLaw 9.02b and higher and XML 4. Even if XML 6 is installed, XML 4 is still required. XML 4 can be installed by running PCLaw setup using the XML 4 command or by installing XML 4 separately.

Take the following steps to run PCLaw setup using the XML 4 command:

  1. Select Run from the Windows Start menu.
  2. Type {directory path}\PCLaw32\Common\Install\Setup ForceXML4 in the Open box.
  3. Click OK to start the PCLaw setup wizard.

If XML 4 was not successfully installed, take the following steps to directly install XML 4:

  1. Go to www.microsoft.com.
  2. Type XML 4 in the Search box on the top right.
  3. Click the link for MSXML 4.0 Service Pack 2 (Microsoft XML Core Services).
  4. Scroll to the bottom of the page and download the most appropriate installation file.
  5. Install the file after the download and follow the on screen instructions.
