Setting Up the Juris Link at the Program Level

Take the following steps to set up the Juris link at the program level:

  1. Open LexisNexis Total Practice Advantage.
  2. Click File on the menu bar and select Setup, General, and Program Level to open the Program Level Setup window.
  3. Click Links.
  4. Click Billing.
    NOTE: If you do not see Billing contact Customer Support.
  5. Click to check the Activate Billing box.
  6. Select Juris from the Select Billing Link drop-down list.
  7. Click Set Billing Options to open the Juris Link Setup window.
  8. Click Ellipsis Icon next to the Juris Data Name field on the General tab to open the Select Juris ODBC Data Source window.
  9. Click to highlight the Juris ODBC driver.
  10. Click OK to close the Select Juris ODBC Data Source window.
  11. Click Test Link and wait for the Juris Test Successful! message.
    NOTE: If you do not get the Juris Test Successful! message, contact Customer Support.
  12. Click OK to close the message window.
  13. Click the Billing Options tab.
  14. Verify the options on the Billing Options tab.
  15. Click the Matching tab.
  16. Match the Juris codes with the LexisNexis Total Practice Advantage codes.
    NOTE: You may match the codes here or at the setup for Staff and Classification Codes.
  17. Click OK to close the Juris Link Setup window.
  18. Click OK to close the Program Level Setup window.
  19. Set up the Juris link at the User Level.

NOTE:

You must install the Juris ODBC driver before setting up the link. Juris support handles the installation of the Juris ODBC driver.
