Finding a Note That You Wrote on the Legal Pad Desktop Extension

The Legal Pad lets you create and store an unlimited number of notes. If you do not routinely clear the Note Viewer by deleting unneeded notes or saving them as Note records in your database, you might have difficulty locating a particular note in the list.

Use the Search tool to find a note in the Note Viewer based on keywords.

Take the following steps to search for a note:

  1. Click the page list icon in the top left corner of the Legal Pad to open the Note Viewer window.
  2. In the search field below Convert to, type all or part of a word that occurs in the note you want to find.
  3. Press Enter on your keyboard or click the (binoculars search icon) to search for the note.
    NOTE: The bottom area of the Note Viewer displays a list of notes that contain the word you typed.
