Installing a LexisNexis Total Practice Advantage 10 Clone File to a Remote Computer

Take the following steps to install a LexisNexis Total Practice Advantage 10 clone file:

  1. Open the LexisNexis Total Practice Advantage remote application.
    NOTE: If the program prompts you to Import Data, click Cancel to open the Cancel Import window. Click OK to close the Cancel Import window. If the program opens the Welcome to Practice Advantage window, complete all wizard windows.
  2. Click File on the menu bar and select Synchronize and Practice Advantage to open the Practice Advantage Synchronization window.
  3. Click Next to open the Select Synchronization Activity window.
  4. Select Install Database Clone.
  5. Click Next to open the Backup Current Database window.
  6. Click Backup Now to open the Begin Server Backup Now window.
  7. Click Yes to open the Server Backup Completed window.
  8. Click OK to open the Document Backup Complete window.
  9. Click OK to open the Email Backup Complete window.
  10. Click OK to close the Email Backup Complete window.
  11. Click Next to open the Install Database Clone File window.
  12. Click Ellipsis Icon next to the Enter Clone File path and file name field to open the Select Clone File window.
  13. Click to highlight TMCLONE.TMC.
  14. Click Open to close the Select Clone File window.
  15. Click Next to open the Warning! - Install Database Clone File window.
  16. Click Yes to close the Warning! - Install Database Clone File window and open the Clone File Install Completed window.
  17. Click OK to close the Clone File Install Completed window.
  18. Close and reopen the remote application.
