Inserting Lines in the Report Designer

Take the following steps to add boxes to your custom report:

  1. Open the Report Designer from the Report Specifications window.
  2. Click Insert Line on the main toolbar.
  3. Click on the report layout to place the line and open the Line Properties window.
  4. Click Line Color to open the Select Line Color window.
  5. Select a color from the Basic Colors list or create a custom color.
  6. Click OK to return to the Box Properties window.
  7. Select Horizontal, Vertical, or Diagonal for the Line Orientation.
  8. Click the Position tab.
  9. Enter a value into the X Position field.
  10. Enter a value into the Y Position field.
  11. Enter a value into the Height field.
  12. Enter a value into the Width field.
  13. Click OK to return to the Report Designer window.
  14. Click and hold one of the red squares and drag to resize the line.
  15. Add any other fields you want and position them on the report.
  16. Click Save & Close on the main toolbar to return to the Report Specifications window.
