Enabling AutoTxt Codes

You enable AutoTxt codes in User Level Setup. You can enable AutoTxt codes for use at the Program Level and/or User Level. You get the most flexibility when you enable AutoTxt codes for both User Level and Program Level.

Program Level AutoTxt Codes provide the following benefits:

  • Increased efficiency through automation
  • Improved display options and text formatting
  • Standardized data entry options
  • Increased data consistency, which makes it easier to search data and find relevant records

Take the following steps to enable AutoTxt codes:

  1. Click File on the menu bar and select Setup, General, and User Level to open the User Level Setup window.
  2. Click Forms.
  3. Select one or both of the following options in the Options for All Forms section:
    • Enable User Level AutoTxt codes - Enables AutoTxt codes for the current user only
    • Enable Program Level AutoTxt codes - Enables AutoTxt codes for all program users
  4. Click OK to enable AutoTxt Codes and close the User Level Setup window.
