Data Manager Utility
You can use the Data Manager utility to specify the location of LexisNexis CD data, and to copy all CDs for a requested library to your local hard drive or network drive.
NOTE:
You only see the Data Manager if you have a stand-alone installation or if you are a network user configured as an Administrator.
Launching the Data Manager Utility
Take the following steps to launch the Data Manager Utility:
- Click Start.
- Click Programs.
- Click LexisNexis CD on Folio 4.
- Click Data Manager to display the Data Manager window.

Copying CDs to a Hard Drive
Take the following steps to copy the CDs to a hard drive:
- Click Copy to open the Copy Options window.
- Click to check mark the discs you want to copy.
- Click OK to open the Browse for Folder window.
- Click OK to accept the default location for each disc (you might have only one disc).
NOTE: When you click OK for the last disk in the set, the Data Manager checks the CD-ROM drive for disk one and begins copying files. The Data Manager prompts you to insert each disc in the set until the data manager copies all discs to your hard drive. - Click OK on the Library copied successfully window.
- Click Save.
- Click OK.
- Click Exit to close the Data Manager window.
NOTE:
The Data Manager utility automatically determines whether enough disk space is available to copy the data CDs. If there is not enough disk space, a message prompts you to copy the data to another location.

Specifying the Location of the Data
Take the following steps to specify the location of the discs:
- Click the plus sign next to the displayed discs.
- Verify that the each disc contains the correct path. To change a path, double-click the path and browse to the proper drive or folder, click to highlight the drive or folder, and click OK.
NOTE: The Data Manager utility displays a green checkmark next to the discs it can see. - Click Save.
- Click OK.
- Click Exit to close the Data Manager window.
