Adding a Billing Item Record with Basic Billing
Take the following steps to add a new billing item record:
- Click Billing on the menu bar and select Billing Item List and All Billing Items to open the Billing window.
- Click to open the Billing Item Form - Add window.
- Enter information on the record form.
- Click Save & Close to close the Billing Item Form - Add window.
NOTE: You need to fill out any required fields before you can Save & Close the record form.
When you open a new Billing Item form, the program automatically populates the Date and Time fields. The date and time equal the Bill Date and Qty/Duration fields. If you need the duration to be greater than zero, enter an ending time.
You can view and edit Billing Item Form entries from the following options:
- Billing Item List
- Invoice Form
- Contact or Matter Record
